Vale da Lapa is our five-star accommodation in the lovely Carvoeiro area. Golfers gather here during the winter months to enjoy the proximity to many fine golf courses and the charming fishing village of Carvoeiro. The accommodation is a natural meeting place where you can relax with new and old golf friends and participate in our competitions, mingling and dinners.
You live in spacious townhouses on two floors with a patio and balcony. Each home has two bedrooms, a large bright living room and a fully equipped kitchen for a comfortable longstay stay. The kitchen is complete with stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. Towels and bed linen are changed every ten days and the area has 24-hour security. All homes are air-conditioned and have nice patios adjacent to the living room.
Vale da Lapa also offers a lovely SPA, gym, an indoor pool and two outdoor pools. The outdoor pools are not heated but are surrounded by greenery and sun loungers, while the indoor pool – with glass walls and a glass roof – gives a light and airy feeling that creates a wonderful experience of freedom when swimming there.
The accommodation is located on a hill overlooking the sea and the surrounding green areas. From Vale da Lapa it is about 4 km down to Carvoeiro's beautiful sandy beach and cozy center with its many restaurants, cafes and small shops. Carvoeiro is a picturesque and traditional Portuguese resort, located on the cliffs above the Atlantic. There is a calm and pleasant atmosphere here, with many small restaurants, cafes and bars serving freshly caught fish, delicious meat dishes and locally grown produce.
The area around Carvoeiro offers many exciting excursion destinations:
Algar Seco – impressive cave formations just a few hundred meters east of the center.
Benagil Cave – one of Europe's most famous natural experiences, reached by boat from the village of Benagil.
Ferragudo – a picturesque fishing village to the west.
Portimão – for those who want to experience the pulse of a big city, shopping and a wide range of restaurants and culture.
From Vale da Lapa you can easily reach many of the courses in the golf package. The popular Gramacho, Pinta and Silves are only about 15-20 minutes drive away and the equally popular Salgados takes about 25 minutes. The very pleasant and easy-to-walk twin courses Alamos and Morgado (where the European Tour has been played) are about 25 minutes drive to the northwest. Palmares, between Lagos and Portimão, maintains a very high standard and has sea views on most holes as well as fantastic views from the clubhouse.
With us you have the market's widest and best golf package with 15 high-class golf courses for all playing levels and tastes. Long and tough or shorter and more technical. Flat and walkable or hilly and breathtaking. Play on just one or a few courses, or try a new course “every day”. The possibilities are almost endless!
Booking your own game is primarily done via our Guest Portal (or app), where a basic range of tee times is reserved for our guests. It is also possible to book times via email, telephone or directly on site at the courses. Registration for our competitions is always done in the Guest Portal or app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own game and competitions – before arrival, while the remaining rounds are booked on site according to the principle “play one, book one”. The Guest Portal is shared by all our guests in the Western Algarve, which provides the opportunity for varied games and pleasant fellowship with both new and well-known golf friends.
