Vale d'Oliveiras is a magnificent five-star resort in the beautiful Carvoeiro area, perfect for a wonderful Longstay golf holiday.
The accommodation maintains high standards and offers well-equipped apartments, a spa with indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna, plus a gym. The resort is adjacent to the golf courses Gramacho & Vale da Pinta, which are included in our packages. The apartments have one or two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens and air conditioning in both the living room and bedrooms. Each apartment also has a terrace or balcony with views over the pool area or the lush gardens.
Carvoeiro village is just a short drive away, as is the charming harbour village of Ferragudo. Carvoeiro offers a wide selection of restaurants and cafés, and Vale d'Oliveiras periodically provides a complimentary shuttle bus to the village several times daily. For those wishing to explore larger towns, Portimão is just 15 minutes away by car. The area is also renowned for its fantastic beaches, perfect to visit after a day on the golf course.
The resort has its own restaurant with bar, and for those wanting to stay active, various sports and spa activities are offered. Vale d'Oliveiras combines excellent comfort, proximity to golf and beautiful natural surroundings – a perfect choice for a relaxing and enriching stay in the Algarve.
From Vale d'Oliveiras you can easily reach many of the courses in your golf package. The pleasant and popular Silves is just a quarter of an hour's drive away. The very friendly and easily walkable twin courses Alamos and Morgado (where the European Tour has been played) are approximately 25 minutes' drive to the north-west. Palmares, between Lagos and Portimão, maintains a very high standard and offers sea views on most holes, plus fantastic views from the clubhouse.

Booking tee times for your own play is done via email, telephone and/or by visiting the courses/clubs, and in the guest portal where pre-booked times are reserved for PT Golf guests. Entries to our competitions are made in the guest portal.
In the guest portal you can book 10 rounds (your own play and competitions) from home, whilst the remaining rounds are booked on site in the Algarve on a 'play one, book one' basis. Tee time booking in the guest portal is shared by all our guests in West Algarve, which provides variety and the opportunity to play with both new and old friends.

West Algarve
We consider West Algarve to extend from Albufeira and westwards. This was where Portuguese explorers set sail in the 15th century on their voyages of discovery around the world. The landscape features mountains inland, rolling cliffs to the west and flatter coastline to the east. In the cities of Silves and Lagos, you can feel history's presence and see preserved traces of the Moorish past and the age of exploration. Algarve's least developed area is the north-western corner with its protected nature reserves, untouched beaches, wild coastlines and dramatic cliffs. Here you'll find Europe's most south-westerly point, Cabo de São Vicente, where the mighty Atlantic makes an awe-inspiring impression.
The hub is Alvor and Portimão with their long beaches and genuine fishing harbours. From here you can reach everything from championship golf courses to the cliff drama of Ponta da Piedade, and in the evening you can enjoy cataplana in the harbour quarters or watch the sunset from Lagos' ancient walls. In winter you'll often have both the golf courses and beaches almost to yourself – and prices are at their best.
