White Shells Beach Villas is a brand new, classically designed accommodation that was completed in 2021. The resort comprises 55 villas and is BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) eco-certified. It is beautifully situated just a few minutes' walk from the stunning beaches of Praia Nova and Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha and the magnificent coastal promenade. The charming village of Armação de Pêra is just 4 km away (less than 10 minutes' drive).
The resort offers both outdoor and indoor pools, a gymnasium and a spa facility with sauna and Turkish bath – perfect after your round of golf or an excursion. The accommodation has 24-hour reception, a restaurant and a bar/lounge. You can park your car in the underground car park, where you can safely leave your golf equipment, and then explore the resort on foot. Car-free, peaceful and the ultimate in comfort. Simply put, it is accommodation of the highest class.
At White Shells Beach, the apartments are bright, elegant and well-appointed with interior details by the renowned Swedish-Portuguese designer Anna Westerlund. Natural light floods the space, creating a sense of room and wellbeing in the lovely open-plan living room and the very well-equipped kitchen with modern SMEG appliances. The apartments are on ground level with a terrace and direct access to the resort's communal areas. Of course, there is excellent Wi-Fi and a large modern flat-screen TV with international channels. Cleaning takes place every 7 days, including bed linen and towel changes.
The area around the picturesque villages of Porches and Armação de Pêra, right on the cliffs and beaches of the Atlantic, is a wonderful destination for visitors seeking a peaceful and relaxed stay in a laid-back and characterful setting. The calm atmosphere embraces charming little restaurants, cafés and bars serving fresh fish, delicious meat dishes and locally grown vegetables and fruit. Just under 500 metres from the accommodation, you will find the lovely coastal footpath that invites you to exercise and enjoy yourself.
From White Shells Beach, you can easily reach many of the courses included in your golf package. To the favourites Gramacho, Pinta, Silves and Salgados it is just about 15 minutes' drive, and you can reach all the others within three-quarters of an hour.

Booking tee times for your own play is done via email, telephone and/or by visiting the courses/clubs, as well as in the guest portal where pre-booked times are reserved for PT Golf's guests. Entry to our competitions is made through the guest portal.
In the guest portal you can book 10 rounds (your own play and competitions) from home, whilst the remaining rounds are booked on site in the Algarve on the basis of 'play one, book one'. The tee time booking in the guest portal is shared by all our guests in Western Algarve, which gives you variety and the chance to play together with both new and old friends.

West Algarve
We consider West Algarve to extend from Albufeira and westwards. This was where Portuguese explorers set sail in the 15th century on their voyages of discovery around the world. The landscape features mountains inland, rolling cliffs to the west and flatter coastline to the east. In the cities of Silves and Lagos, you can feel history's presence and see preserved traces of the Moorish past and the age of exploration. Algarve's least developed area is the north-western corner with its protected nature reserves, untouched beaches, wild coastlines and dramatic cliffs. Here you'll find Europe's most south-westerly point, Cabo de São Vicente, where the mighty Atlantic makes an awe-inspiring impression.
The hub is Alvor and Portimão with their long beaches and genuine fishing harbours. From here you can reach everything from championship golf courses to the cliff drama of Ponta da Piedade, and in the evening you can enjoy cataplana in the harbour quarters or watch the sunset from Lagos' ancient walls. In winter you'll often have both the golf courses and beaches almost to yourself – and prices are at their best.
