Vila das Lagoas is just a stone's throw from Salgados's popular and easy-walking golf course, and you can reach the clubhouse in just a few minutes. The long sandy beach of Praia dos Salgados is only about 500 metres away.
Here you'll stay in our bright, modern and spacious self-catering apartments with well-equipped kitchens, generous balconies and large windows. The accommodation is nestled in a leafy area with beautiful gardens and green spaces filled with olive and palm trees. The apartments have 2 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms and are designed with modern and comfortable furnishings to meet the highest quality standards. Of course, all apartments are equipped with good wi-fi and flat-screen TVs with international channels.
The area around Salgados has much to offer for excursions. The ZooMarine animal park with its spectacular dolphin show is well worth a visit, and don't miss the world-famous sand sculpture exhibition in Pera. For those interested in history, Capela dos Ossos in Alcantarilha, with its interior decorated with human bones and skulls, is a fascinating visit. Add to this the vast sandy beaches and boat trips for dolphin spotting – if you're lucky you might even see killer whales on your journey between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
Visit and wander through the old quarters of Albufeira (about 20 minutes' drive) which charm with their narrow streets and hidden gem restaurants, cafés and bars. To the west, you'll find picturesque Armação de Pêra (about 10 minutes) with its peaceful atmosphere and pleasant village life. Fresh fish – Catch of the Day – is available almost everywhere and almost always offers a spectacular gourmet experience.
From Vila das Lagoas you can easily reach several of the golf courses in your golf package. To Salgados's 1st tee you can walk from the apartment in 5 minutes.

Booking tee times for your own play is done via email, telephone and/or by visiting the courses/clubs, as well as in the guest portal where pre-booked times are reserved for PT Golf's guests. Entry to our competitions is made in the guest portal.
In the guest portal you can book 10 rounds (your own play and competitions) from home, while the remainder are booked on site in Algarve according to the principle 'play one, book one'. The tee time booking in the guest portal is shared by all our guests in West Algarve, which provides variety and play together with both new and old friends.
On arrival you will receive all information regarding golf from our golf host on site. Welcome!

West Algarve
We consider West Algarve to extend from Albufeira and westwards. This was where Portuguese explorers set sail in the 15th century on their voyages of discovery around the world. The landscape features mountains inland, rolling cliffs to the west and flatter coastline to the east. In the cities of Silves and Lagos, you can feel history's presence and see preserved traces of the Moorish past and the age of exploration. Algarve's least developed area is the north-western corner with its protected nature reserves, untouched beaches, wild coastlines and dramatic cliffs. Here you'll find Europe's most south-westerly point, Cabo de São Vicente, where the mighty Atlantic makes an awe-inspiring impression.
The hub is Alvor and Portimão with their long beaches and genuine fishing harbours. From here you can reach everything from championship golf courses to the cliff drama of Ponta da Piedade, and in the evening you can enjoy cataplana in the harbour quarters or watch the sunset from Lagos' ancient walls. In winter you'll often have both the golf courses and beaches almost to yourself – and prices are at their best.
