Albur Village

Albur Village is perfectly located in Alvor, about 10 minutes’ walk from the small square and the two main streets. Around the square and the surrounding neighborhoods there are many cafes and restaurants that are open all year round. Here, the local population mixes with tourists in a pleasant way.

Albur Village is a very nice small resort that was renovated in 2020 to a very high standard, interior as well as exterior. The apartments are bright and well-equipped for longstay with fast WiFi, international TV channels and a good kitchen. The area has a pool and nice spaces for socializing and enjoyment. Albur Village has apartments with 1 bedroom – 2 bedrooms as well as some new very nice Townhouse apartments with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The town of Alvor – founded in 436 as Portus Hannibalis – is very popular and well-known as a picturesque, cozy little fishing village with a calm pace and pleasant people. The pace is leisurely and in the square the old men sit with their ”bica” and philosophize.

From Alvor Mar you can easily reach our various golf courses in our golf package. The popular Penina golf course is only a 10-minute drive from the accommodation. The very nice and easy-to-walk twin courses Alamos and Morgado (where the European Tour has been played) are about a 25-minute drive. It is a half-hour drive to nice and popular Silves. Palmares GC near Lagos has a very, very high standard and has sea views on most holes and a fantastic view from the clubhouse.

From the accommodation you can easily and quickly reach several of the courses , and no course is further away than three quarters of a mile by car. They all have their own characteristics and charm, not only in terms of course layout but also in terms of clubhouse, restaurant and facilities. 

Booking tee times for your own game is done via email, telephone and/or visit to the courses/clubs as well as in our Guest Portal where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf’s Guests. Registration for our golf competitions is done in the Guest Portal.

In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds (own game and competitions) can be booked from home, while the rest are booked on site in the Algarve according to the principle ‘play one, book one’. 

The time booking in the Guest Portal is for all our Guests in the Western Algarve, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.

Upon arrival, you will receive all information regarding golfing from our golf host on site. 

Visits includes accommodation, daily green fees, car hire and championship golf courses within easy reach.
