Very nice accommodation along the river "Tejo" in the authentic village of Alcochete, which is located on the south side of the Rio Tejo that divides Lisbon! The interior is in Scandinavian style, as is their sustainability theme. From Lisbon airport, you drive over the Vasco da Gama bridge to the accommodation in about 25–30 minutes on the toll motorway.

Lisbon is, as you know, a very interesting excursion destination and is easily accessible from the accommodation Praia do Sal by car or by local bus that departs outside the accommodation directly to the well-known meeting point Oriente Station in Lisbon. From the nearby small town of Montijo there is also a fast catamaran ferry (20 minutes) directly into the centre of Lisbon - good parking at the ferry port in Montijo.
Praia do Sal is perfectly located in Alcochete within walking distance of the village centre and the main streets. Around the square and the surrounding areas there are many cafes and restaurants that are open all year round. Here the local population mixes with tourists in a pleasant way.
Praia do Sal is a modern accommodation with a very high standard, both interior and exterior. The apartments are bright and well equipped with fast Wi-Fi, international TV channels and good kitchens. Praia do Sal has a SPA with indoor pool, gym & sauna as well as a nice outdoor pool area. Down by the harbour there are many good fish and meat restaurants. The evening walk at sunset, or for that matter the morning jog, along the river is balm for the soul.
The small town of Alcochete is very popular and well known as a picturesque, cozy little village with a calm pace and pleasant people. In the square, the local old men sit and drink their “bica – coffee” and philosophize. Alcochete also has Europe’s largest Outlet, a popular shopping area “Freeport Lisbon / Alcochete Fashion Outlet” well worth a visit.
In Lisbon, there are lots of nice little restaurants and on the small side streets you can always find a nice lunch restaurant at a good price.
The range of museums is large and a visit to the Ocean aquarium on Oriente is an experience. A visit to Praia do Sal in Alcochete is not just about golf, but the whole of Lisbon is open to visitors.
From Alcochete, you can reach our various golf courses in our golf package on a good road network. The very nice twin courses Riba Golf Oaks and Riba Golf Lakes (where qualification for the European Tour was played) are about a 25-minute drive from the accommodation.
Our unique golf package in Lisbon “Valfri Golf” means playing on 8 different golf courses in the area, from Riba Golf in the east to the farthest to Troia in the west. All courses are located south of the Rio Tejo river. It should be noted that when playing on the Troia course you drive through Setubal where the ferry crosses to the Troia peninsula. Expect a 1 1/2 hour drive from Praia do Sal to the Troia golf course.
