Costa Esuri

On the Costa Esuri you live right next to, basically on, the border between Spain and Portugal, just a couple of minutes from the 1st tee of Isla Canela Links and just under a quarter of an hour from the lovely little town of Ayamonte with its range of small shops, restaurants and tapas bars . The area has a well-stocked and pleasant store that is open 9 to 9 Monday to Saturday, and the city’s incredibly well-stocked Mercadona supermarket is only about 10 minutes away.

At this fine accommodation, we offer bright and pleasant apartments with lots of sun, lift and pool, all with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, spacious living room and a very well-equipped kitchen with all amenities. Furthermore, there is, of course, fast wi-fi and flat-screen TV. Right outside the door is a hiking and cycling trail with miles of wonderful natural scenery to explore at your own pace.

The apartments have a patio or balcony with a nice view of the beautiful landscape and/or pool area, a few have a roof terrace. The very nice Isla Canela Links is directly adjacent to the property. This is a wonderfully challenging links course on the eastern bank of the border river Guadiana, which in the last couple of years has been raised to top condition with completely new greens and elaborate fairways, bunkers and surrounding areas. Three more cannon courses are within a mile radius: the sister course Isla Canela Old Course as well as Quinta do Vale and Castro Marim across the bridge on the Portuguese side.

 To the convivial border town of Ayamonte with its bustling folk life and abundant restaurant selection, it only takes a short quarter of an hour by car. From here you can take the ferry – until 1992, when the A22 bridge was built, the only way – across to Portugal and sister city Vila Real do Santo António. By car, it only takes a quarter of an hour to Castro Marim and about 25 minutes to Tavira in Portugal.

Our unique golf package West Spain – Mixed Golf involves playing ten different golf courses along the Costa de la Luz and into Portugal, of varying character, length and feel. Isla Canela Links is close at hand, while Isla Canela Old Course, Quinta do Vale and Castro Marim are all within a fifteen minute drive. It doesn’t take more than half an hour to get to the other tracks. For games also on our other courses in the Eastern Algarve, vouchers can be exchanged (at an additional cost) or bought by your Golf host!

Time bookings for your own game are made via email, phone and/or visits to the courses/clubs as well as in the Guest Portal, where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf’s Guests. 

Registration for competitions is done in the Guest Portal and several competitions are shared with our Guests on the Portuguese side.

In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds (own game and competitions) can be booked from home, while the rest can be booked on site in the Algarve according to the ’play one, book one’ principle. The time booking in the Guest Portal is for all our Guests on the Costa de la Luz, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.

Upon arrival, you will receive all information regarding the golf game from our on-site golf host.
