The Residences Islantilla Apartments – or simply Islantilla – is a modern and popular resort featuring bright, well-appointed apartments with self-catering facilities. All apartments have two bedrooms, a spacious bathroom and a generous living area. Our guests often mention the wonderful beds with organic mattresses – a small detail that makes a real difference to your recovery after a day's golf. Every apartment also has a safety box.

Location is one of the resort's greatest strengths – you'll stay conveniently and comfortably with Islantilla Golf and its 27 varied holes just a stone's throw away. The accommodation itself is set around the well-known AMA Islantilla hotel, where guests have access to facilities including a bar, restaurant, indoor pool, sauna and gym. Please note that the hotel's bar and restaurant are closed during December and January, but other facilities such as the sauna, gym and indoor pool are available year-round. The outdoor pool, however, is not in use during the winter months of November to March.

Islantilla Golf is one of the most highly regarded golf courses in the Huelva area. With its 27 holes divided into three 9-hole loops, the course offers excellent variety and fresh playing combinations every day. Here you'll play among pine forests, lakes and elevated terrain with beautiful views over the Atlantic – an environment that both inspires and challenges. The layout suits all types of players, and the greens are consistently well-maintained. If you'd like to warm up, there's both a driving range and practice areas for short-game work.

With access to ten different golf courses in our unique Västra Spanien golf package, you'll also enjoy wonderful variety during your stay. The package combines coastal locations with beautiful inland settings, technical parkland courses with open links landscapes, and challenges for both low and high handicaps. Whether you want to try something new each day or return to a favourite course, you have the freedom to plan your golf exactly as you wish.

From the accommodation, it's a short walk to Islantilla's small centre, and further on to La Antilla – a charming coastal village with an inviting sandy beach. The walk takes about 15–20 minutes (1.7 km). During the winter months, La Antilla offers a slower pace with fewer tourists and a peaceful local life. Particularly in December and January, many beachfront restaurants are closed, and the days are more about relaxation, beach walks and some truly excellent golf – in a climate that is often both mild and sunny.

There's also much to explore in the surrounding area – on both the Spanish and Portuguese sides. The Doñana nature reserve, one of Europe's most important wetland areas, is within reach and offers a unique natural experience with flamingos and wild horses. For those interested in culture, Seville is a natural day-trip destination – one of Spain's most beautiful cities with grand architecture, narrow streets in the historic Santa Cruz quarter, the famous cathedral and the Alcázar palace. Here you can enjoy tapas and perhaps a genuine flamenco show – all just 1.5 hours from Islantilla. In the opposite direction, you'll find the charming fishing village of El Rompido, where you can take a small boat across to the sandbank La Flecha – a peaceful, beautiful natural area with miles of beach, perfect for a relaxing day out. And just 20 minutes away lies Ayamonte, a charming small town on the Guadiana river. From here you can easily take the ferry across to neighbouring Portugal and Vila Real de Santo António – a pleasant little trip where you experience two cultures in a single day.

Our unique golf package Västra Spanien – Blandad Golf means playing ten different golf courses along Costa de la Luz and into Portugal, with varying character, length and feel. To your 'home course' Islantilla is just a few hundred metres, and all other courses are within a half-hour's drive on good roads. To play our other 5 courses in Eastern Algarve, vouchers can be exchanged (for an additional fee) or purchased from your golf host!

Booking tee times for your own play is primarily done via our the guest portal (or app), where a basic selection of tee times is reserved for our guests. You can also book times via email, telephone or directly at the courses themselves. Entry to our competitions is always made via the guest portal or the app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own play and competitions – before arrival, while remaining rounds are booked on-site on a 'play one, book one' basis. the guest portal is shared by all our guests in the area, giving you the chance to enjoy varied play and pleasant company with both new and familiar golfing friends.
