State-of-the-art and wonderfully fresh accommodation right next to the golf course!
Isla Canela Golf is – as the name suggests – situated right beside the Isla Canela Old Course golf course, and several apartments enjoy views over the fifth hole. The apartments are state-of-the-art and were completed in spring 2017. Spacious, roomy and tastefully furnished with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Of course, with a fully equipped kitchen, excellent Wi-Fi and international TV channels. A very peaceful and pleasant place to stay with a golf atmosphere round the clock!
During late autumn and winter, not all restaurants are open, but the charming town of Ayamonte, just 7 minutes away, is bustling with life! From there you can catch the ferry – which until 1992, when the A22 bridge was built, was the only way – over to Portugal and its sister town Vila Real do Santo António. By car it's only a quarter of an hour to Castro Marim or roughly 20 minutes to Tavira in Portugal.
A pleasant lunch outing after golf is recommended at the restaurants down in Isla Canela where you can enjoy your lunch by the beach. Isla Canela's clubhouse has a very pleasant restaurant with good food and drinks at its lovely 19th hole. Don't miss either the little gem Punta del Moral (6 km/10 min) with its lovely little fish and tapas restaurants right by the water.
Our unique golf package Western Spain – Mixed Golf means playing on ten different golf courses along Costa de la Luz and into Portugal, with varying character, length and feel. To your 'home course' Isla Canela – where you, as an accommodation guest at Isla Canela, can also choose Unlimited Golf – it's just a few minutes away, and all the other courses are within half an hour's drive. To play on our other 5 courses in Eastern Algarve, vouchers can be exchanged (for an additional charge) or purchased from your golf host!
Booking tee times for your own play is primarily done via our the guest portal (or app), where a core selection of tee times is reserved for our guests. It's also possible to book times by email, phone or directly on site at the courses. Entry to our competitions is always made via the guest portal or app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own play and competitions – before arrival, whilst remaining rounds are booked on site on a 'play one, book one' basis. the guest portal is shared by all our guests in the area, which gives you the opportunity for varied play and pleasant company with both new and familiar golf friends.

Costa de la Luz
Costa de la Luz stretches from the Portuguese border at Ayamonte via Isla Canela, El Rompido and Punta Umbría to Huelva. Here the coast is flat, the beaches stretch for miles and the golf courses are varied – from the links-style Isla Canela to the woodland courses at El Rompido. The area is less developed than Costa del Sol and prices are generous.
Isla Canela and Islantilla are the main resorts – modern holiday areas right on the beach with promenades, restaurants and golf on your doorstep. Ayamonte on the Guadiana River offers authentic everyday Andalusian life with tapas bars and a Saturday market, and on your rest day Doñana National Park, the Columbus sites around La Rábida or Portuguese Tavira across the border beckon. Fly to Faro – the transfer takes just over half an hour.
