Estrela da Luz

Our very high class and popular accommodation Estrela da Luz – which translated into English means ”Star of Light” – located near the village’s beautiful church with walking distance to the beach with all its restaurants and supermarket.

Estrela da Luz has apartments with one bedroom or two bedrooms, one or two bathroom. The apartments are fully equipped for a long stay visit,fully equipped kitchen, good Wi-Fi and international TV channels. Our guests have free access to the hotel’s heated indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi and a very well-equipped gym.

The hotel’s own restaurant/bar Hugo Beatty has a popular international tapas menu as well as a games room for use after your golf day.

Very close to the hotel there is a supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants/cafes/bars, including several takeaway restaurants.

The village of Luz – often called Praia da Luz due to its close destination to the sea. Luz has an abundant selection of restaurants, cafes and bars along the sea promenade and is a very popular destination for permanent residents around the Lagos area. A visit to Sagres ”The End of the World” takes about half an hour and is recommended. This is where people stood in the 15th century and looked out towards the horizon when Vasco da Gama, Magelhão and the other Portuguese navigators conquered the oceans.

The distance from Luz to the nearest golf courses Espiche and Boavista is just under 10 minutes. And don’t miss the all-too-rarely-visited gem Santo António Golf, about a quarter of an hour’s drive.

Our unique West Algarve – Optional Golf package includes 15 different golf courses along the coast, from Santo António in the far west to Vila Sol in Vilamoura.

With PT Golf you have by far the market’s broadest and best golf package with a total of 15 high-class golf courses for all playing levels and tastes. Long and tough or shorter and more technical. Flat and walkable or hilly and breathtaking. Play on or two courses, or try a new course ”every day”.  

From Luz you easily and quickly reach several of the courses in the golf package, and no course is more than three quarters of a mile away by car. They all have their quirks and charms, not only in terms of course layout but also in terms of clubhouse, restaurant and facilities. 

Time bookings for your own game are made via email, phone and/or visits to the golf courses/clubhouse or in our Guest Portal, where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf’s Guests. 

Registration for our competitions is done in the Guest Portal.

In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds (own game and competitions) can be booked from home, while the rest can be booked on site in the Algarve according to ’play one, book one’ principle. The time booking in the Guest Portal is for all our Guests in the Western Algarve, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.

Upon arrival, you will receive all information regarding the golf game from our on-site golf host.
