Ferragudo offers a genuine Portuguese atmosphere with small restaurants, cozy squares and proximity to several fine beaches. The city of Portimão and the village of Carvoeiro are within easy reach for those who want a wider range of entertainment and shopping. Bricia du Mar is a very nice alternative for our golf guests who are looking for a modern, quiet and comfortable accommodation during a winter golf week in the western Algarve with a good location for both golf and excursions.
In Portimão there is a very popular market hall (mercado), several department stores and the Aqua shopping center. On the main street above the well-known beach Praia da Rocha is the well-known "Casino Algarve" with shows and concerts. Also visit the museum housed in the old sardine factory that tells how the work of cleaning and packing this 'national product' was done.
From Portimão you can easily reach many of the courses in our golf package. The closest are the pleasant course Alto and the classic Penina, both within a 15-20 minute drive. Other courses can be reached in 30-45 minutes by car.
Our unique golf package "Western Algarve - Optional Golf" means the opportunity to play on as many as 15 different golf courses along the coast, from Santo António in the far west to Vila Sol in Vilamoura.

Booking times for your own game are made via email, telephone and/or visit to the courses/clubs and in PT Golf's Guest Portal where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf's Guests. Registration for our competitions is made in the Guest Portal.
In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds (own game and competitions) can be booked from home, while the rest are booked on site in the Algarve according to the principle 'play one, book one'. Booking times in the Guest Portal are common to all our Guests in the Western Algarve, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.
Upon arrival you will receive all the information from our golf host on site.
