Just a short drive away (or a 15-minute walk) from the charming coastal town of Carvoeiro with its white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters lies our wonderful resort, Quinta do Paraíso. Perfectly positioned in the heart of the Algarve, Quinta do Paraíso is an excellent accommodation for those seeking comfort, peace and tranquillity. This Moorish-inspired resort spans 300,000 square metres and with its whitewashed buildings, typical Algarve chimneys and décor of light furnishings and terracotta tiles, the resort creates a peaceful environment to relax and enjoy yourself in.

At Quinta do Paraíso you'll find Trattoria Oliveira where you can enjoy Mediterranean and Portuguese-inspired dishes prepared with locally grown ingredients. Our apartments here have recently undergone a complete and tasteful renovation. They offer a homely, modern and comfortable atmosphere. When you step through the door you're greeted by a large and open living room and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen that has direct access to the balcony or terrace. Next to the kitchen there's also a small utility room with a washing machine, drying rack and more. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower, and the apartment has an additional full-sized bathroom with shower. There's a further small room with a sofa bed and desk – perfect if you want some peace and quiet, or for storage. The houses at Quinta do Paraíso are two storeys and you can choose between an apartment one floor up with a small balcony with table and two chairs, and a ground-floor apartment with a slightly larger terrace. Outside the front door, most apartments have a small table with two chairs so you have access to outdoor space in two directions.

Quinta do Paraíso is an old traditional Portuguese resort with bags of charm, a friendly atmosphere and lush greenery in every corner. It's easy to feel at home here!

Exciting destinations in the local area are virtually unlimited. Just a few hundred metres east of the town centre lies Algar Seco, an impressive cave formation caused by Atlantic erosion over millennia. A few kilometres further east, those interested in caves will find their match at Praia de Benagil which you can visit by boat from the small village of Benagil. These cave formations are considered among Europe's finest. Heading west, a visit to picturesque Ferragudo is to be recommended, and if you want a taste of 'big city buzz' we suggest visiting Portimão with its wide range of restaurants and cultural offerings.

From Quinta do Paraíso you can easily reach many of the courses in the golf package. To the favourites Gramacho and Pinta it's just a 5-minute drive, and to the equally popular Silves it takes only a quarter of an hour. The very pleasant and easy-to-walk twin courses Alamos and Morgado (where the European Tour has been played) are approximately 25 minutes' drive to the north-west.

Booking tee times for your own play is done via email, telephone and/or visits to the courses/clubs, and in the guest portal where pre-booked tee times are reserved for PT Golf guests. Registration for our competitions is done in the guest portal.

In the guest portal you can book 10 rounds of golf (your own play and competitions) from home, whilst the remaining rounds are booked on site in the Algarve according to the principle 'play one, book one'. Tee time booking in the guest portal is shared by all our guests in Western Algarve which provides variety and play together with both new and old friends.

We consider West Algarve to extend from Albufeira and westwards. This was where Portuguese explorers set sail in the 15th century on their voyages of discovery around the world. The landscape features mountains inland, rolling cliffs to the west and flatter coastline to the east. In the cities of Silves and Lagos, you can feel history's presence and see preserved traces of the Moorish past and the age of exploration. Algarve's least developed area is the north-western corner with its protected nature reserves, untouched beaches, wild coastlines and dramatic cliffs. Here you'll find Europe's most south-westerly point, Cabo de São Vicente, where the mighty Atlantic makes an awe-inspiring impression.

The hub is Alvor and Portimão with their long beaches and genuine fishing harbours. From here you can reach everything from championship golf courses to the cliff drama of Ponta da Piedade, and in the evening you can enjoy cataplana in the harbour quarters or watch the sunset from Lagos' ancient walls. In winter you'll often have both the golf courses and beaches almost to yourself – and prices are at their best.
