Carvoeiro is one of the Algarve's best-loved holiday towns – a place where unspoilt beaches meet genuine Portuguese small-town charm and a generous choice of restaurants and bars. Here, in a calm and peaceful area about a 20-minute walk from the town centre, lies Placid Village – our newest addition for a comfortable and enjoyable longstay. Gramacho and Vale da Pinta, two of the Algarve's most popular golf courses, are an easy 10-minute drive away.
Placid Village offers 28 stylish, individually furnished apartments with two or three bedrooms, all fully equipped for a comfortable longer stay. The apartments are in split-level houses, and whether you are on the ground floor or one floor up you have your own balcony – perfect for enjoying the sun all year round. The spacious living rooms are decorated in light, harmonious colours and have air conditioning, an open fireplace and a comfortable sofa suite. There is also a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with cable channels and direct access to the balcony.
The open-plan kitchens are modern and fully equipped with everything you could need. In short – everything is here to make you feel at home! The bedrooms are air-conditioned and offer different combinations of single and double beds.
The grounds also have several facilities that add to the comfort: a padel court for those who like to keep active, free parking inside the gates, a small lounge with coffee – perfect for social moments, a smaller pool with sun loungers, a reception staffed every day and a night guard on site when reception is closed.

From Placid Village it is a 10-minute drive to the popular Gramacho and Vale da Pinta courses, and as our guest here you have access to our entire unique golf package West Algarve – Golf, which means playing different golf courses along the coast, from Santo António in the far west to Vila Sol in Vilamoura.
With us you get by far the broadest and best golf packages on the market, with high-quality golf courses for every level and taste. Long and tough or shorter and more technical. Flat and easy to walk or hilly and breathtaking. Play just one or a few courses, or try a new course “every day”. The possibilities are almost endless!
Tee times for your own rounds are booked mainly through our guest portal (or app), where a basic allocation of tee times is reserved for our guests. You can also book tee times by e-mail, by phone or directly at the courses. Entry to our competitions is always made in the guest portal or app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own rounds and competitions – before arrival, while the remaining rounds are booked on site on the principle of “play one, book one”. The guest portal is shared by all our guests in the West Algarve, which makes for varied golf and good company with both new and familiar golfing friends.
On arrival you will be welcomed by our golf host, who will give you the vouchers for your golf package. Welcome!

Accommodation details
West Algarve
We consider West Algarve to extend from Albufeira and westwards. This was where Portuguese explorers set sail in the 15th century on their voyages of discovery around the world. The landscape features mountains inland, rolling cliffs to the west and flatter coastline to the east. In the cities of Silves and Lagos, you can feel history's presence and see preserved traces of the Moorish past and the age of exploration. Algarve's least developed area is the north-western corner with its protected nature reserves, untouched beaches, wild coastlines and dramatic cliffs. Here you'll find Europe's most south-westerly point, Cabo de São Vicente, where the mighty Atlantic makes an awe-inspiring impression.
The hub is Alvor and Portimão with their long beaches and genuine fishing harbours. From here you can reach everything from championship golf courses to the cliff drama of Ponta da Piedade, and in the evening you can enjoy cataplana in the harbour quarters or watch the sunset from Lagos' ancient walls. In winter you'll often have both the golf courses and beaches almost to yourself – and prices are at their best.
