PT Golf is proud to present our new longstay accommodation La Serena Golf Apartments in Los Alcázares, beautifully situated in the heart of the Murcia region on the sun-drenched Costa Cálida in south-east Spain. The apartments are brand new with modern and bright interiors, fully equipped kitchens, spacious terraces overlooking the golf course and access to a communal pool – everything you need to feel at home during a longer stay. With over 320 days of sunshine a year and an average temperature of around 21 degrees, this is an ideal destination for those looking to escape the Scandinavian winter.
Right on the doorstep is La Serena Golf, an 18-hole par 72 course designed by legendary Ryder Cup player Manuel Piñero. The course winds around the 500-year-old watchtower Torre del Rame and offers a strategic and varied golf experience with nearly 70 shaped bunkers and water hazards that come into play on 16 of the 18 holes. The flat layout makes it walkable, but the ever-present Levante wind from the Mar Menor provides an extra challenge that keeps the game interesting day after day. The stylish clubhouse with restaurant and terrace overlooking the course and Mar Menor is the perfect place to round off a day of golf.
With La Serena Golf Apartments as your base, you have access to PT Golf’s unique golf package “Murcia Special” with eleven different courses of varying character. This includes five of the six courses in the Jack Nicklaus Golf Trail – La Torre, El Valle, Saurines de la Torre, Mar Menor and Hacienda Riquelme – a collection of golf courses that make the region one of Europe’s most impressive golf destinations. In addition, there are games on offer at New Sierra Golf, Hacienda del Alamo and Campo Sol, so whether you prefer long and demanding courses or shorter and more technical layouts, there is always a new challenge to discover.
Beyond the golf course, the charming coastal town of Los Alcázares awaits with its long promenade, authentic tapas bars and fresh seafood restaurants, all just three kilometres away. The calm, shallow waters of the Mar Menor are perfect for swimming, sailing and water sports. If you want to explore further, the historic city of Murcia is just 30 minutes away on a nice motorway, with a rich selection of culture, shopping and restaurants. Air connections are excellent - Alicante airport is just over an hour away, and we will book your rental car for collection and return directly at the airport.
The drive from the airport to La Serena Golf Apartments takes around 1 hour south towards the village of Los Alcazares.
Bookings for your own game are primarily made via our Guest Portal (or app), where a basic range of tee times is reserved for our guests. It is also possible to book times via email, telephone or directly on site at the courses. Registration for our competitions is always made via the Guest Portal or app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own game and competitions – before arrival, while the remaining rounds are booked on site according to the principle of “play one, book one”. The Guest Portal is shared by all our guests in the area, which provides the opportunity for varied games and pleasant fellowship with both new and well-known golf friends.
