Cabanas Pomar

Cabanas Pomar is a state-of-the-art accommodation of the highest standard and is perfectly located between the ’home club’ Benamor and Cabana’s small center and pleasant beach promenade. Barely 20 minutes’ walk ’in both directions’. In the area there is a restaurant, café, bar, gym/wellness studio (not included).

Accommodation in spacious, bright apartments with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A few of the apartments are available as penthouse apartments with 3 bedrooms and a roof terrace. The large pool is the ’hub’ of the area where you can relax in the sun loungers and socialize with new and old friends after the day’s round of golf.

Cabanas has until today been a relatively quiet and peaceful place where the local fishermen have been the most conspicuous inhabitants. Over the last two years, Cabanas has gained more and more reputation as one of the most genuine and picturesque places in the Eastern Algarve.

The excursion destinations in the area are many and varied. Stroll through historic Tavira, get lost in the back roads of the stunning rolling hills a few kilometers north of the coast, visit the border town of Vila Real de Santo António with its Spanish twin Ayamonte a short boat ride across the river, or why not spend an evening in Monte Gordo and finish with to try your luck at the city’s casino… Also, don’t miss a trip up the border river Guadiana – by riverboat from Vila real or by car along the winding country road – up to the fantastic village of Alcoutim.

From Cabanas you are ’close to everything’. Cozy, historic Tavira is just a five-minute drive and Spain is about half an hour. The coastline from Cabanas east towards the Spanish border is a long chain of fantastic sandy beaches, all of which are easily accessible by car via the N-125 coastal road. The A22 motorway – Via de Infante – is easily reached via Tavira or Monte Gordo for trips along the Algarve coast and into Spain.

In Cabanas, you really have golf around the corner. To the ’home club’ Benamor – where we have daily tee times, weekly competitions and great socializing on the 19th hole – it’s only 5 minutes. The fantastic twin courses Quinta da Ría and Quinta da Cima can be reached in 10 minutes. Within half an hour you are also at the challenging gem of Quinta do Vale and the bellowing scenic Castro Marim near the border.

On the other side of the bridge over the border river Guadiana are our Spanish courses Isla Canela Old Course, Isla Canela Links, El Rompido, Monacilla and more – all within an hour’s drive from Cabanas.

Our unique Eastern Algarve Voucher includes Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima. Benamor, Castro Marim, Quinta do Vale and our 8 courses in Western Spain. 

Time bookings for your own game are made via email, phone and/or visits to the golf courses/clubhouse or in ourGuest Portal, where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf’s Guests. 

Registration for our competitions is done in the Guest Portal and several competitions are shared with our Guests on the Spanish side.

In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds (own game and competitions) can be booked from home, while the rest can be booked on site in the Algarve according to the ’play one, book one’ principle. The time booking in the Guest Portal is for to all our Guests in the Eastern Algarve, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.

Upon arrival, you will receive all information regarding the golf game from our on-site golf host.
