Cabanas Pomar is a state-of-the-art accommodation with the highest standard and is perfectly located between the 'home club' Benamor and the small centre of Cabanas and the pleasant beach promenade. Barely a 20-minute walk 'in both directions'. The area has a restaurant, café, bar, gym/wellness studio (not included).
Accommodation in spacious, bright apartments with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A few of the apartments are available as penthouse apartments with 3 bedrooms and a roof terrace. The large pool is the 'hub' of the area where you can relax in the sun loungers and socialise with new and old friends after today's round of golf.
Cabanas has until today been a relatively quiet and peaceful place where the local fishermen have been the most noticeable residents. Over the past two years, Cabanas has increasingly come to the fore as one of the most genuine and picturesque places in the eastern Algarve.
The excursion destinations in the area are many and varied. Stroll in historic Tavira, get lost on the small roads in the fantastic rolling hills a few kilometers north of the coast, visit the border town of Vila Real de Santo António with its Spanish twin Ayamonte for a short boat trip across the river, or why not spend an evening in Monte Gordo and finish by trying your luck at the town's casino... Don't miss a trip up the border river Guadiana - by riverboat from Vila Real or by car along the winding country road - up to the fantastic village of Alcoutim.
From Cabanas you are 'close to everything'. It is barely 10 minutes by car to cozy, historic Tavira and about half an hour to Spain. The coastal stretch from Cabanas east towards the Spanish border is a long line of fantastic sandy beaches, all of which are easily reached by car via the N-125 coastal road. The A22 motorway - Via de Infante - is easily reached via Tavira or Monte Gordo for trips along the Algarve coast and into Spain.
In Cabanas, golf really is just around the corner. The 'home club' Benamor - where we have daily tee times, weekly competitions and wonderful socializing on the 19th - is only 5 minutes away. The fantastic twin courses Quinta da Ría and Quinta da Cima can be reached in 10 minutes. Within half an hour, you can also be at the challenging gem Quinta do Vale and the undulating scenic Castro Marim near the border. On the other side of the bridge over the border river Guadiana are our Spanish courses Isla Canela Old Course, Isla Canela Links, El Rompido and more - all within an hour's drive from Cabanas.

Booking times for your own game is primarily done via our Guest Portal (or app), where a basic selection of tee times is reserved for our guests. It is also possible to book times via email, telephone or directly on site at the courses. Registration for our competitions is always done in the Guest Portal or app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own game and competitions – before arrival, while the remaining rounds are booked on site according to the principle of “play one, book one”. The Guest Portal is shared by all our guests in the area, which provides the opportunity for varied games and pleasant fellowship with both new and well-known golf friends.
