Isla Canela Golf is located – as the name suggests – right next to the Isla Canela Old Course golf course and several apartments have a view of the fifth hole of the course. The apartments are state-of-the-art and were completed in the spring of 2017. Large, spacious and tastefully decorated with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Of course with a fully equipped kitchen, good Wi-Fi and international TV channels. A very quiet and pleasant accommodation with a golf feeling 24/7!
During the late autumn and winter season, not all restaurants are open, but the cozy town of Ayamonte, 7 minutes away, is bustling with life! From there you can take the ferry – until 1992 when the A22 bridge was built, the only way – over to Portugal and its sister city Vila Real do Santo António. By car it only takes a quarter of an hour to Castro Marim and about 20 minutes to Tavira in Portugal.
A nice lunch excursion after golf is suggested to the restaurants down in Isla Canela where you can eat your lunch by the beach. Isla Canela's clubhouse has a very nice restaurant with good food and drinks on its lovely 19th hole. Don't miss visiting the little gem Punta del Moral (6 km/10 min) with its lovely little fish and tapas restaurants right on the water.
Our unique golf package Western Spain - Mixed Golf involves playing on ten different golf courses along the Costa de la Luz and into Portugal, with varying character, length and feel. The 'home course' Isla Canela - where you as a resident of Isla Canela can also choose Free Golf - is only a few minutes away and the other courses are all within half an hour's drive. For playing on our other 5 courses in the Eastern Algarve, vouchers can be exchanged (for an additional fee) or purchased from your Golf Host!
Bookings for your own game are primarily made via our Guest Portal (or app), where a basic range of tee times is reserved for our guests. It is also possible to book times via email, telephone or directly on site at the courses. Registration for our competitions is always made in the Guest Portal or app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own game and competitions – before arrival, while the remaining rounds are booked on site according to the principle of “play one, book one”. The Guest Portal is shared by all our guests in the area, which provides the opportunity for varied games and pleasant fellowship with both new and well-known golf friends.
