Vita Sol Park, Lagos
Great value in Lagos!
Vita Sol Park is our excellent value accommodation in Lagos, offering spacious apartments with lovely views over the Lagos surroundings. The apartments vary in standard and facilities. The walk into Lagos involves a steep descent, which means many of our guests prefer to take a taxi back to the accommodation after dinner.
Close to the accommodation you'll find the well-known marina and fishing harbour with boats of every kind. In the marina there's also a charming fish restaurant serving daily-caught fish. A short walk through the marina, then over the little bridge that leads to Lagos town centre with all its restaurants. The local market hall selling fish, meat and vegetables is open every day of the week, where locals do most of their shopping.
There's also a large supermarket just 500m from Vita Sol Park.
There are many varied excursions in the area. Cabo San Vicente – where Prince Henry the Navigator had his maritime school – is well worth a visit. Here you'll find beautiful viewpoints and an interesting museum. The Vincentina coast stretching north from Cabo San Vicente is wonderfully scenic and interesting, with many small fishing villages in dramatic coastal landscape. Another pleasant excursion is a visit to the charming little village of Burgau where you can have lunch by the waterside. Drive time approximately 15 minutes.
Meia Praia's magnificent beach is a maximum 10-minute drive from the accommodation with excellent parking by the sandy beach for swimming and walks. On the beach there are outstanding restaurants such as Berlim serving good lunch and dinner daily.
The apartments are equipped with good internet and international TV channels. Undercover parking with a elevator directly to your apartment – very practical for storing your golf clubs in the car. Vita Sol Park is well positioned geographically with good road access to our various golf courses. Welcome.
From Lagos you can easily reach many of the golf courses in our golf package. Penina, the oldest golf course on the Algarve coast, with 18+9 holes designed by Sir Henry Cotton, is pleasant and easy to walk. Palmares, between Lagos and Portimão, maintains very high standards and has sea views on most holes plus spectacular views from the clubhouse. Espiche is beautifully set in nature and the clubhouse has fantastic architecture and serves really excellent lunch. Boavista is undulating and has a magnificent clubhouse with a very popular 19th hole.

Accommodation details
West Algarve
We consider West Algarve to extend from Albufeira and westwards. This was where Portuguese explorers set sail in the 15th century on their voyages of discovery around the world. The landscape features mountains inland, rolling cliffs to the west and flatter coastline to the east. In the cities of Silves and Lagos, you can feel history's presence and see preserved traces of the Moorish past and the age of exploration. Algarve's least developed area is the north-western corner with its protected nature reserves, untouched beaches, wild coastlines and dramatic cliffs. Here you'll find Europe's most south-westerly point, Cabo de São Vicente, where the mighty Atlantic makes an awe-inspiring impression.
The hub is Alvor and Portimão with their long beaches and genuine fishing harbours. From here you can reach everything from championship golf courses to the cliff drama of Ponta da Piedade, and in the evening you can enjoy cataplana in the harbour quarters or watch the sunset from Lagos' ancient walls. In winter you'll often have both the golf courses and beaches almost to yourself – and prices are at their best.
