Baia da Luz is a popular, high-standard accommodation, located just 400 metres from the seafront promenade with its wide range of restaurants, supermarkets, bakery, fishmonger and butcher. Here we offer spacious apartments with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a limited number of duplex apartments with two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a loft with extra beds. All have good Wi-Fi, and the resort offers 24-hour reception, bike rental and a much-appreciated heated outdoor pool. The area also features the popular Alloro restaurant, known for its delicious Italian cuisine and fine wines.

Luz – often called Praia da Luz due to its location by the sea – is a hospitable and charming village where residents and visitors meet in a pleasant mix. From Luz you can easily reach several attractions – a half-hour drive away is Sagres, also known as “The End of the World”. Here in the 15th century people looked out over the horizon before Vasco da Gama, Magellão and other Portuguese explorers set out to conquer the oceans.
Golf-wise, the location is excellent – in just 10 minutes you can reach Boavista and Espiche – but as our guest here you have access to our entire unique golf package Western Algarve – Optional Golf, which means playing on 15 different golf courses along the coast, from Santo António in the far west to Vila Sol in Vilamoura. There is truly something here for all playing levels and tastes. Long and tough or shorter and more technical. Flat and walkable or hilly and breathtaking. Play on just one or a few courses, or try a new course “every day”. The possibilities are almost endless!
Booking times for your own game is primarily done via our Guest Portal (or app), where a basic range of starting times is reserved for our guests. It is also possible to book times via email, telephone or directly on site at the courses. Registration for our competitions is always done in the Guest Portal or app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own game and competitions – before arrival, while the remaining rounds are booked on site according to the principle “play one, book one”. The guest portal is shared by all our guests in the area, which provides the opportunity for varied games and pleasant fellowship with both new and familiar golf friends.
