Rota City Apartments

Modern apartments centrally located in the town of Rota at the bottom of the Costa de la Luz in western Spain. Accommodation with our unique golf package Western Spain – Rota / Cádiz area gives you free play on 13 different golf courses with varying character, length, feel in this beautiful part of southwestern Spain.

Rota City apartments have parking under the building and walking distance to the fantastic beach, nearby restaurants in the city center. Rota is well known for its gastronomy with all its nice tapas bars and fish restaurants. Rota is a cozy and friendly town lively during the winter months with charming alleys, cobbled streets and small squares where you can enjoy a “fino” and a tapas. A stone’s throw from the accommodation is also the nice marina which has a lot to explore.

The apartments are bright and nice and the kitchens are equipped with a stove, washing machine and dishwasher.

The nearby Spanish village of Chiclana with its 84,000 inhabitants is a traditional Andalusian town with small squares and alleys. There are plenty of cozy places to enjoy the locally produced food. Chiclana is also famous for its wines with a number of bodegas to discover. The distance to Sancti Petri is only about 30 minutes.

From Rota to the provincial capital Cadiz is only about 47 km and you can easily get there with your rental car or by local bus. Cadiz is the oldest city in Europe that has been inhabited continuously since 1100 BC. Cádiz with its picturesque cobblestone streets, stone buildings and historical makes Cadiz an obvious excursion destination. Cadiz is one of the world’s oldest sea cities, and it was from here that Columbus began his journey to America. Today Cadiz has about 120,000 inhabitants.

The old fishing community of Conil de la Frontera is about 45 minutes by car from our new accommodation. In recent years, Conil has become an increasingly popular destination, as it has managed to maintain the authentic Spanish village feel. Don’t miss a visit to Jerez de la Frontera, the origin of sherry, join a sherry tasting, visit the old town and experience a ”horse show” at the Royal Riding School.

The rental car is picked up and returned at Malaga airport.

The drive to Rota is a nature experience and takes 2½ hours along the Mediterranean coast south to Algeciras and then through the Los Alcornocales National Park over to the Costa de la Luz. The slightly winding and scenic Inland Road through Andalusia’s hilly landscape takes about 3 hours and tempts you for a nice coffee break in one of the authentic villages along this route. A little longer to drive from the airport but a wonderful nature experience. The rental car can also be booked for pick-up and return at Faro airport, the driving time will then be about 4 hours.

Booking a time for your own golf game is made via PT Golf’s Guest Portal where pre-booked starting times are earmarked for our guests.

Alternatively, contact the golf courses/clubs by phone or in person. The starting times provide variety and play together with both new and old friends. Competition registration is made in the Guest Portal where you can pre-book up to 10 rounds (your own game and competitions) from home, while the rest are booked on site according to the principle ‘play one, book one’.
