The quiet and pleasant resort Al Sur is located just a few hundred meters from the beautiful beach of La Barrosa. Here you live in modern and bright apartments that are equipped for self-catering. The apartments have 1 or 2 bedrooms and 1 or 2 bathrooms, spacious living room, kitchen and balcony. There is also an outdoor pool that is open seasonally (normally closes in mid-November) and a paddle court for anyone who wants to stay active.
Within walking distance is not only the extensive sandy beach with its classic tapas bars, but also the cozy village of La Barrosa with its selection of restaurants, shops and bars. La Barrosa beach is said to be one of the best in the world, thanks to its length, soft sand, pleasant water temperature, shallow nature and fantastic light.
The accommodation is about 20 minutes drive from the old fishing community of Conil de la Frontera, which in recent years has become a popular destination while managing to maintain the authentic Spanish village feel. In the summer town of Coníl there are many restaurants and tapas bars serving local fish and seafood dishes. Especially along the promenade and in the small town centre with its small squares there are cozy places to enjoy your meal, while watching the people strolling by.
It is about thirty kilometers to Cádiz, the big city on Andalusia's Atlantic coast. Cádiz's picturesque cobblestone streets, stone buildings and historical heritage make this an obvious excursion destination. Founded around 1100 BC, this is one of the world's oldest sea cities, and it was also from the port of Cadiz that Columbus began his journey to America.
We book your rental car for collection and return at Málaga airport. The drive to Al Sur is a nature experience and takes 2½ hours along the Mediterranean coast south to Algeciras and then through the Los Alcornocales National Park over to the Costa de la Luz. The slightly winding and scenic inland road through Andalusia's hilly landscape takes about 3 hours and tempts with pleasant coffee or food stops in one of the many authentic villages along this route. A little longer to drive from the airport perhaps, but a wonderful nature experience in itself. Of course, the rental car can also be booked for collection and return at Faro airport if desired - driving time about 3½ hours on a good motorway.
Our unique golf package Western Spain - Cádiz provides optional play on eleven golf courses with varying character, length and feel along this beautiful part of the Costa de la Luz. The 36-hole Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri is only a 5-minute drive away and Sancti Petri Hills Golf, La Estancia Golf and Campano Golf are about 15-20 minutes by car.
Booking a time for your own game is primarily done via our Guest Portal (or app), where a basic range of tee times is reserved for our guests. It is also possible to book times via email, phone or directly on site at the courses. Registration for our competitions is always done in the Guest Portal or app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own game and competitions – before arrival, while the remaining rounds are booked on site according to the principle of “play one, book one”. The Guest Portal is shared by all our guests in the area, which provides the opportunity for varied games and pleasant fellowship with both new and well-known golf friends.
