Al Sur

The quiet and pleasant Al Sur resort is just a few hundred meters from the beautiful La Barrosa beach. Here you live in modern and bright apartments that are equipped for self-catering. The apartments have 1 or 2 bedrooms and 1 or 2 bathrooms, spacious living room, kitchen and balcony. There is also an outdoor swimming pool that is open seasonally and closes at the end of October and a padel court.

Within walking distance is not only the wide sandy beach with its classic tapas bars, but also the cozy village of La Barrosa’s range of restaurants, shops and bars. La Barrosa beach is said to be one of the best in the world, thanks to its length, soft sand, pleasant water temperature, shallow nature and fantastic light.

The accommodation is approximately 20 minutes drive from the old fishing community of Conil de la Frontera, which in recent years has become a popular destination while maintaining the authentic Spanish village feel. In the summer town of Coníl there are many restaurants and tapas bars serving local fish and seafood dishes. Especially along the promenade and in the small town center with its small squares, there are cozy places to enjoy your meal, while watching the people strolling by.

Cádiz, the big city on Andalusia’s Atlantic coast, is about three miles away. Cádiz’s picturesque cobbled streets, stone buildings and historical heritage make this an obvious excursion destination. Founded as early as about 1100 BC. this is one of the world’s oldest maritime cities, and it was also from the port of Cadiz that Columbus began his journey to America.

We book your rental car for collection and return at Málaga airport. The drive to Al Sur is a natural experience and takes 2½ hours along the Mediterranean coast south down to Algeciras and then through Los Alcornocales National Park over to the Costa de la Luz. The slightly more winding and scenic inland road through Andalusia’s hilly landscape takes about 3 hours and tempts with pleasant coffee or food stops in one of all the authentic villages along this route. Maybe a bit longer to drive from the airport, but a lovely nature experience in itself. Of course, the rental car can also be booked for collection and return at Faro airport if desired – driving time approx. 3½ hours on a good motorway.

Our unique golf package West Spain – Cádiz provides optional play on nine golf courses of varying character, length and feel along this beautiful part of the Costa de la Luz. The 36-hole Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri facility is only a 5-minute drive and the Sancti Petri Hills Golf, La Estancia Golf and Campano Golf approximately 15-20 minutes by car.

Time bookings for games are made in the Guest Portal, where pre-booked times are available on all courses earmarked for PT Golf’s guests, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends. Competition registration is also done in the Guest Portal, where you can pre-book a total of up to 10 rounds (your own game and competitions) from home, while the rest are booked on site according to the principle ’play one, book one’.
