Luxury accommodation with a large pool area and its own 'plaza'!
Cabanas Pomar is a state-of-the-art apartment complex with the highest standards, perfectly located between your 'home club' Benamor and Cabanas town centre with its charming beach promenade. Just a 20-minute stroll 'in either direction'. On the complex you'll find a restaurant, café, bar and gym/wellness studio (not included).
Stay in spacious, bright apartments with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A few of the apartments are available as penthouses with 3 bedrooms and a roof terrace. The large pool is the 'heart' of the complex where you can relax in the sun loungers and socialise with new and old friends after your round of golf.
Cabanas has until now been a relatively peaceful and tranquil place where the local fishermen have been the most notable residents. Over the last two years, Cabanas has increasingly become recognised as one of the most genuine and picturesque places in eastern Algarve.
There are many and varied excursions in the area. Stroll through historic Tavira, get lost on the small roads in the fantastic rolling hills a few kilometres north of the coast, visit the border town Vila Real de Santo António with its Spanish twin Ayamonte just a short boat trip across the river, or why not spend an evening in Monte Gordo and finish with a flutter at the town's casino… Don't miss a trip up the Guadiana river – by river boat from Vila Real or by car along the winding country road – up to the fantastic village of Alcoutim.
From Cabanas you have 'everything nearby'. To charming, historic Tavira it's just a 10-minute drive, and to Spain about half an hour. The coastline east from Cabanas towards the Spanish border is a long stretch of fantastic sandy beaches, all easily reached by car via the coastal road N-125. The motorway A22 – Via de Infante – is easily accessible via Tavira or Monte Gordo for trips along the Algarve coast and into Spain.
In Cabanas you really do have golf around the corner. To your 'home club' Benamor – where we have daily tee times, weekly competitions and great socialising at the 19th – it's just 5 minutes. The fantastic twin courses Quinta da Ría and Quinta de Cima are 10 minutes away. Within half an hour you're also at the challenging gem Quinta do Vale and the rolling, naturally beautiful Castro Marim near the border. On the other side of the bridge over the Guadiana border river are our Spanish courses Isla Canela Old Course, Isla Canela Links, El Rompido and more – all within an hour's drive from Cabanas.
With us you'll find the market's by far broadest and best golf packages with high-quality golf courses for all playing levels and preferences. Long and challenging or shorter and more technical. Flat and leisurely or hilly and thrilling. Play at just one or a few courses, or try a new course 'every day'. The possibilities are almost endless!

East Algarve
East Algarve, from Faro to the Spanish border, is the stretch of coast that has retained most of its original character. Tavira is one of Portugal's most beautiful small towns, with its churches, Roman bridge and excellent range of restaurants. Beyond lies Ria Formosa, a lagoon landscape with islands and long sandy beaches reached by small ferries. Golf is played on courses such as Benamor, Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima, Castro Marim and Monte Rei.
You'll find life quieter here than in the west: Cabanas and Tavira's island beaches are reached by small ferries, the market hall displays the day's catch, and evenings are peaceful. Monte Rei – often ranked as Portugal's finest course – is the highlight for many visitors, and if you fancy a change of scenery, Spanish Ayamonte is just a short drive away across the Guadiana bridge. Winter is mild and tranquil, with empty beaches and plenty of tee times.
