Welcome to Cabanas Palms – a tranquil, well-maintained accommodation on the outskirts of the charming coastal village of Cabanas de Tavira. You'll stay in a peaceful, traffic-free area with no nightlife, surrounded by beautiful heathland that stretches down to the sea. Perfect for morning and evening walks, where you can follow the paths all the way to the salt ponds and breathe in the scent of sea and eucalyptus.
Benamor Golf is just a 15-minute walk away, and in the other direction lies Cabanas' seafront promenade with restaurants, bars and small shops along the water. Most places are open year-round, and during the winter months Cabanas fills with PT Golf's Shortstay and Longstay guests. No one needs to feel alone – take a stroll along the boardwalk and you'll always meet someone to chat with or have a coffee with.
Eastern Algarve offers something quite unique: a slower pace, genuine villages and people who live in harmony with nature. The proximity to Spain – just a few minutes away – makes the area perfect for short trips to Ayamonte or a tapas lunch in Andalusia. The beaches are long, bright and free from large hotel complexes, and the historic town of Tavira with its bridges, markets and cafés is just a short distance away.
The apartments at Cabanas Palms vary in style and décor, but all are comfortable, well-equipped and suited for longer stays. Here you'll find what makes eastern Algarve so special – the light, the peace and the authentic Portuguese feeling.
In Cabanas, you really do have golf on your doorstep. Your 'home course' Benamor – where we have daily tee times, weekly competitions and wonderful camaraderie at the 19th – is just 5 minutes away. The fantastic twin courses Quinta da Ría and Quinta de Cima are reached in 10 minutes. Within half an hour you're also at the challenging gem Quinta do Vale and the undulating, naturally beautiful Castro Marim near the border. On the other side of the bridge across the border river Guadiana are our Spanish courses Isla Canela Old Course, Isla Canela Links, Bellavista and others – all within an hour's drive from Cabanas.
With us you have the market's by far broadest and best selection of golf packages with high-quality golf courses for all playing levels and preferences. Long and challenging or shorter and more technical. Flat and walker-friendly or hilly and breathtaking. Play just one or a few courses, or try a new course every day. The possibilities are almost endless!
Booking tee times for your own play is primarily done through our the guest portal (or app), where a basic range of tee times is reserved for our guests. You can also book times by email, phone or directly at the courses. Entry to our competitions is always made through the guest portal or the app. You can book up to 10 rounds of golf – both your own play and competitions – before arrival, whilst remaining rounds are booked on site on a 'play one, book one' basis. the guest portal is shared by all our guests in the area, giving you the opportunity to play varied courses and enjoy pleasant camaraderie with both new and familiar golfing friends.
Upon arrival you'll be welcomed by our golf host who will give you your vouchers for your golf package. Welcome!

East Algarve
East Algarve, from Faro to the Spanish border, is the stretch of coast that has retained most of its original character. Tavira is one of Portugal's most beautiful small towns, with its churches, Roman bridge and excellent range of restaurants. Beyond lies Ria Formosa, a lagoon landscape with islands and long sandy beaches reached by small ferries. Golf is played on courses such as Benamor, Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima, Castro Marim and Monte Rei.
You'll find life quieter here than in the west: Cabanas and Tavira's island beaches are reached by small ferries, the market hall displays the day's catch, and evenings are peaceful. Monte Rei – often ranked as Portugal's finest course – is the highlight for many visitors, and if you fancy a change of scenery, Spanish Ayamonte is just a short drive away across the Guadiana bridge. Winter is mild and tranquil, with empty beaches and plenty of tee times.
