Convenient accommodation close to the beach with wonderful golf!

The peaceful and welcoming Al Sur resort sits just a couple of hundred metres from the beautiful La Barrosa beach. You'll stay in modern, bright apartments equipped for self-catering. The apartments have 1 or 2 bedrooms and 1 or 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room, kitchen and balcony. There's also a seasonal outdoor pool (normally closing mid-November) and a padel court for those who want to stay active.

Within walking distance you'll find not only the expansive sandy beach with its classic tapas bars, but also the charming village of La Barrosa with its range of restaurants, shops and bars. La Barrosa beach is said to be one of the finest in the world, thanks to its length, soft sand, pleasant water temperature, gentle gradient and stunning light.

The accommodation is about 20 minutes' drive from the old fishing village of Conil de la Frontera, which in recent years has become a popular destination whilst retaining its authentic Spanish village character. In the summer town of Coníl you'll find many restaurants and tapas bars serving local fish and seafood dishes. Especially along the beach promenade and in the small town centre with its intimate squares, there are lovely spots to enjoy your meal whilst watching the world go by.

To Cádiz, the major city on Andalusia's Atlantic coast, is roughly 30 kilometres away. Cádiz's picturesque cobbled streets, stone buildings and historical heritage make it an obvious excursion destination. Founded around 1100 BC, it's one of the world's oldest seafaring cities, and it was also from Cádiz harbour that Columbus set out on his voyage to America.

We'll arrange your rental car for collection and return at Málaga airport. The drive to Al Sur is a natural experience and takes 2½ hours along the Mediterranean coast southwards to Algeciras and then through the Los Alcornocales national park to Costa de la Luz. The slightly winding and scenic inland route through Andalusia's rolling landscape takes around 3 hours and tempts you with pleasant coffee or lunch stops in one of the authentic villages along this route. A bit longer to drive from the airport perhaps, but a wonderful natural experience in itself. Of course, the rental car can also be arranged for collection and return at Faro airport if you prefer – drive time around 3½ hours on excellent motorway.

Our unique golf package Western Spain – Cádiz offers optional play on eleven golf courses with varying character, length and feel along this beautiful part of Costa de la Luz. The 36-hole Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri is just 5 minutes' drive away, and Sancti Petri Hills Golf, La Estancia Golf and Campano Golf are roughly 15-20 minutes by car.

Booking your own tee times is primarily done via our the guest portal (or app), where a basic selection of tee times is reserved for our guests. You're also welcome to book times by email, phone or directly at the golf courses. Entries to our competitions are always made via the guest portal or app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own play and competitions – before arrival, whilst remaining rounds are booked on site on a 'play one, book one' basis. the guest portal is shared by all our guests in the area, which gives you the chance to enjoy varied play and pleasant company with both new and familiar golfing friends.
