Valle Romano – golf on the Costa del Sol!
Stay and play at Valle Romano in Estepona – one of our most sought-after golf destinations!
Enjoy your accommodation near the golf course at our apartment hotel, located directly beside Valle Romano Golf between holes 11, 12 and 17. Here, golf truly is your neighbour! Valle Romano Golf offers impressive views over both the Mediterranean and Sierra Bermeja, and after a full day on the course, you can relax on the clubhouse's beautiful terrace.
Valle Romano Resort is just a few minutes' drive from the charming resort town of Estepona, known for its picturesque harbour, countless shops, bars, restaurants and fantastic beaches. Estepona boasts no fewer than seven beaches in all shapes and sizes. If you prefer the mountains, we recommend a day walk in Sierra Bermeja for spectacular views and excellent birdwatching and wildlife. After all that activity, head to Paseo de los Pinsapos to experience one of southern Europe's most magical sunsets, with the African coast as your backdrop.
Valle Romano Golf Resort comprises three identical four-storey buildings along the 12th fairway. Our apartments feature entrance via a gallery walkway and beautiful views from the terrace on the other side. They have two separate bedrooms, two bathrooms and a combined, well-equipped kitchen and living room leading out to a terrace. The apartments, approximately 100 sqm including the terrace, offer plenty of space despite their compact size and are furnished in a modern, tasteful style.
At Valle Romano Golf Resort there is a 24-hour reception with English-speaking staff, a small grocery shop, a modest gym and the La Boquerona restaurant, which offers the best of Andalusian cuisine. If that's not enough, it's just a short stroll to the golf club where you can enjoy a lovely breakfast and an exquisite lunch at the clubhouse restaurant.
In this lively coastal town of Estepona, you'll enjoy the long beachfront promenade with its countless cafés, bars and restaurants offering everything from simple tapas to gastronomic highlights, and stroll through the historic districts with their cobbled charm. The town, with its genuine Andalusian character, has a vibrant street life all year round. It's only about 10 minutes' drive from the accommodation to the town centre. If you prefer not to drive, Uber is a well-developed taxi service in the area.
On this stretch of coast you'll find a number of picturesque towns, and the curious and active traveller can find several options for activities such as mountain walks or horseback riding. Your stay will be filled with genuine local life, excellent golf, wonderful food, beach life and stunning mountain scenery.
From Málaga airport it takes approximately one hour's drive to Estepona. Continue south from Estepona and you'll reach several of our golf courses on the way to our southernmost course, Alcaidesa (approximately 30 minutes). Gibraltar, with its unique history and iconic rock, which shouldn't be missed, is about 45 minutes away.
From your accommodation it's close to the very pleasant golf courses included in our packages here.

Estepona
Estepona is the quieter, western stretch of Costa del Sol – a genuine town with a whitewashed old quarter bursting with flower pots, a marina, 21 km of coastline and a seafront promenade that runs all the way to Marbella. The neighbouring Manilva offers vineyards and the fishing village of La Duquesa.
Golf courses are plentiful: Valle Romano and Estepona Golf in town, Doña Julia and La Duquesa in Manilva, and further west lies the Sotogrande area. Marbella and Puerto Banús are just 20 minutes away, and Gibraltar and Ronda make classic day trips.
Estepona has kept its Spanish character: the market hall, tapas bars on the squares and street murals adorning the gable ends of the old town. Winter golf is first-class – mild days, lush courses and plenty of tee times – and if you fancy seeing snow the same day as the beach, set your sights on Sierra Bermeja, which rises directly behind the town.
