Oh, how happy we are to have the regular classic Vista Marina back in the program! During the 'pandemic break', the accommodation has been renovated and upgraded and the large, bright 1-bedroom apartments have now been refreshed.
Here you will find everything you need for a wonderful longstay visit. Vista Marina has been one of our most popular and most affordable accommodations for many years. Many of the guests return to Vista Marina year after year. The accommodation is beautifully located where the Arade River meets the Atlantic Ocean and it is walking distance along the river to all the restaurants, cafes and bars in the old town of Portimão.
Vista Marina has very large and bright apartments with one bedroom, one bathroom, large living room, well-equipped kitchen and large balcony. In the living room there is a nice sitting area with a sofa bed. The kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher, fridge and freezer and is well suited for a nice longstay. All apartments have unobstructed views of the Arade River, the small fishing village of Ferragudo and glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean.
Vista Marina offers a newly renovated indoor pool and a fresh gym on the ground floor, which are open all year round. These facilities are available to our guests and are the perfect way to relax and take care of your body after an intense day on the course. Praia da Rocha beach is known as the Algarve's finest and widest beach with a wooden decked promenade. The beach, which is located in the sheltered area, is about 10-15 minutes' walk from the accommodation. A large green area surrounds the hotel's pool.
In Portimão there is a lovely market hall (mercado), several department stores and the Aqua shopping centre. On the main street above Praia da Rocha is the well-known "Casino Algarve" with shows and concerts. Also visit the museum housed in the old sardine factory, which tells how the work of cleaning and packing this 'national product' was done.
From Portimão you can easily reach many of the courses in the golf package. The closest are the pleasant Alto and the classic Penina, both within a 15-20 minute drive. Other courses can be reached within 30-45 minutes by car.

From the accommodation you can easily and quickly reach several of the courses in the golf package, and no course is further away than three quarters of a mile by car. They all have their own characteristics and charm, not only in terms of course layout and scorecards, but also in terms of clubhouse, restaurant and facilities. Try them out and find your favorites!
Bookings for your own game are made via email, phone and/or visit to the courses/clubs and in the Guest Portal where pre-booked times are earmarked for PT Golf's Guests. Registration for our competitions is made in the Guest Portal.
In the Guest Portal, 10 rounds (own game and competitions) can be booked from home, while the rest are booked on site in the Algarve according to the principle 'play one, book one'. Bookings in the Guest Portal are common to all our Guests in the Western Algarve, which provides variety and games together with both new and old friends.
