Perfect for morning and evening walks, where you can follow the paths all the way to the salt pools and smell the sea and eucalyptus.
In just 15 minutes' walk you reach Benamor Golf, and in the other direction is the Cabanas promenade with restaurants, bars and small shops along the water. Most things here are open all year round, and during the winter months Cabanas is filled with PT Golf's long-term and short-term guests. No one needs to feel alone – if you take a walk along the boardwalk you will always meet someone to exchange a few words with or have a coffee together.
The Eastern Algarve offers something very special: a slower pace, genuine villages and people who live in harmony with nature. The proximity to Spain – just a few minutes away – makes the area perfect for short trips to Ayamonte or a tapas lunch in Andalusia. The beaches are long, bright and free from large hotel complexes, and the historic town of Tavira with its bridges, markets and cafes is just a short distance away.

In Cabanas, golf really is just around the corner. The ‘home club’ Benamor – where we have daily tee times, weekly competitions and great socialising on the 19th – is just 5 minutes away. The fantastic twin courses Quinta da Ría and Quinta da Cima can be reached in 10 minutes. Within half an hour you can also be at the challenging gem Quinta do Vale and the rolling scenic Castro Marim near the border. On the other side of the bridge over the Guadiana river are our Spanish courses Isla Canela Old Course, Isla Canela Links, Bellavista and more – all within an hour's drive from Cabanas.

Booking times for your own game is primarily done via our Guest Portal (or app), where a basic range of starting times is reserved for our guests. It is also possible to book times via email, telephone or directly on site at the courses. Registration for our competitions is always done in the Guest Portal or app. You can book up to 10 rounds – both your own game and competitions – before arrival, while the remaining rounds are booked on site according to the principle “play one, book one”. The guest portal is shared by all our guests in the area, which provides the opportunity for varied games and pleasant fellowship with both new and familiar golf friends.
